
Madhumita Das
Madhumita Das is an Indian researcher and academician in media studies from India. Her research interests encompass the digital divide, media and information literacy, and cultural communication. She has been actively involved in studying the interplay between the digital divide and marginalisation. She is an Assistant Professor of Media and Film at The Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Development (iLEAD), India. Her doctoral work focused on examining the digital divide among women with special reference to digital skills and online civic-political participation. Her latest publications include “Digital Inequality and Ethnic Minority” in the volume - Digital Inequality: Studies in Cultural Communication, published by Routledge (2024) and “Navigating the Perspectives of Media Educators in India During the Covid-19 Pandemic” in the volume - Digital Inequalities in Media Education in South Asia: Context and Consequences of the Covid-19 Pandemic, also by Routledge (2024).
