Dinara Yangeldina
Dinara Yangeldina is a feminist scholar working within post-soviet cultural studies, gender and sexuality studies, and race and ethnicity research. Her research interests include feminist and ethnic minority activism, Russian hip-hop, popular culture, music and digital media, translation, racialization, and de/post-coloniality. Her doctoral dissertation The politics of Racial Translation: Negotiating Foreignness and Authenticity in Russophone Online Intersectional Feminism and Timati’s Hip-hop (2012-2018), is dedicated to the travel and translation of the idiom ‘race as resistance’ via Russian-language intersectional feminism and hip-hop.
