Ivana Širinić
Ivana Širinić is a student of MA course „Cultures and Literatures of Central and Eastern Europe“ at the Humboldt University of Berlin. She finished her B.A. degree in Russian and German studies in Zagreb, with a thesis “Illness as metaphor? ‘Chernukha’ in the prose work of L. Petrushevskaya”. In the spring of 2022, she visited the Lomonosov Moscow State University on a hybrid exchange semester, focusing on the study of Russian avant-garde and contemporary literature. Currently she is researching collective trauma and sense of negative identity in today’s Russian society and literature for her M.A. thesis.
