Gillian Ramchand
Gillian Ramchand received her PhD from Stanford University in 1993 after completing BScs in Mathematics and Philosophy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She held a permanent position at Oxford University lecturing in General Linguistics before moving to the University of Tromsø in 2004 where she is currently Professor of Linguistics. She is interested in the syntax-semantics interface and the relationship between the lexicon and combinatoric rules in language and cognition. She has worked on Scottish Gaelic, Bengali, English and Scandinavian.
