Part 1 (Shlonsky) A three-part exploration of the connection between syntactic movement in general, focus-movement specifically and certain brands of ellipsis.
Part 2 (Szczegielniak): "Puzzles in phase driven information structure on the example of ellipsis":
Examination of phase by phase information structure marking. I will focus on multiple remnant ellipsis, p-stranding. Basic concepts of focus marking/Givenness will be assumed. Discussion will revolve around can syntactic 'chunking' impact information structure. Evidence will be from ellipsis.
